Orchestra Students:

There is a yearly Fair Share Fee of $200.00 assessed to each student. Contact the teacher directly for scholarship information.

Students are expected to bring their own instrument; string bass students may use a school instrument if needed. Please email Mr. Peters ahead of time to ensure availability. The audition rubric includes assessment of tone quality, articulation, posture, artistic practice, audition preparation, engagement, and professionalism.

  • Major Scales (C,G,D,A) one octave with arpeggio.
  • Sight Reading (16 measure sight reading exercise).
  • Students should prepare a solo piece that shows their abilities on their instrument. Our preference would be a solo but a selection from your Orchestra class music will be fine also.
