About

Students participate in an artistic program of study. SJCCA offers students an in-depth exposure to the fine arts through a rigorous, challenging curriculum. This environment provides the skills necessary for success in higher education and the workplace through a comprehensive, hands-on focus in each course of study. SJCCA consists of many strands: music (both vocal and instrumental - band, guitar, piano), dance, theatre, musical theatre and visual arts (draw/paint, ceramics / pootery and graphic/digital arts). Students have the ability to participate in multiple arts areas as long as their schedule will accommodate it.

St. Johns County Center for the Arts is not designed to be a school of the arts but a center for the arts. Students enrolled in SJCCA can participate in multiple arts areas if desired and can participate in athletics, clubs and organizations.

Mission Statement:
The St. Johns County Center for the Arts at St. Augustine High School will provide artistically gifted students a pre-professional program of study designed to develop their unique talents in the performing and visual arts within an environment that is emotionally supportive and artistically and intellectually challenging.

Upon graduation these young artists will possess the capability to pursue their artistic dreams-embarking on careers in the arts or furthering their artistic study and development at colleges, universities, and schools of the arts.

SJCCA Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) organization and is assisted with raising awareness for the arts and necessary funds to enhance the programs by the SJCCA advisory board and SJCCA executive board.
